What are the characteristics of security gates
Source:blog   Author:sintronictech

Everyone must be very familiar with security gates, as we often see their presence in places such as airports, subway stations, and stations. However, we have not delved into them in detail. Today, we will reveal the characteristics of security gates. Next, let's learn about them:

Security checkpoint is a type of metal detection equipment used in stations, large conference venues, etc. to check whether personnel are carrying metal items. If metal items are detected, an alarm will sound.

1Stability of security checkpoint

Users carrying metal items will make a sound every time they walk, without any missed or missed reports. Poor quality security gates may sometimes sound an alarm or not when approaching their sensitivity limit, and items placed in Zone 3 will display an alarm in Zone

2Sensitivity of security checkpoint

Due to the principle of the security checkpoint being that when a metal object passes through the magnetic field generated by the pillars on both sides of the door, it induces a magnetic field and triggers an alarm, this inevitably leads to a phenomenon where the sensitivity decreases from the two sides of the door panel to the middle area, that is, the sensitivity near the door panel on both sides will be higher than that in the middle. Nowadays, many security door manufacturers claim to be able to detect metal objects the size of a needle, but in reality, many manufacturers can only barely detect them when they are very close to both door panels, and there is no response in the middle. It is necessary to be able to detect small pieces of iron and metal without excluding belt buckles.

3Qualification and certification of security gates

The production of security gates must have a production license issued by the Ministry of Public Security and must hold a quality and safety inspection certificate from the public security department. Many users do not have the relevant qualifications and certifications, so it is important for them to understand and choose reputable manufacturers before making a purchase.

4Seismic resistance of security gates

The door cannot make continuous noise when shaking. The stability and anti-interference ability of a security checkpoint directly affect its normal use. Some companies and users do not pay attention to relevant aspects when purchasing security checkpoints or are deliberately avoided by some manufacturers, resulting in poor stability of the purchased security checkpoints. Whenever there is wind or grass blowing, false alarms continue to occur, seriously affecting normal use. Based on the principle of magnetic field induction in security gates, when the magnetic field of the security gate vibrates, it is easy to cause false alarms. A qualified security checkpoint should not produce false alarms even if the magnetic field oscillates (such as strong winds blowing or knocking the door panel causing it to shake) when no one passes through. When a magnetic field oscillates and someone passes by, it is important to ensure that it quickly returns to normal, rather than constantly reporting false alarms.

5Security checkpoint detection effectiveness

The security checkpoint has the function of automatically counting the number of people passing through and the number of alarms. If the displayed number of people does not match the actual number of people passing through, it may cause false negatives, indicating that there are loopholes in the security check. A good security checkpoint should be able to detect 100 times without any false negatives.

Through the above content, we have a clear understanding of the characteristics of security gates. If you are not familiar with them, you can take a closer look through this section. Therefore, it is recommended that you still learn about them, as they may be useful in our daily lives in the future.
