Supermarket gate, also called supermarket swing turnstile, is an automatic one-way swing barrier specially designed for retail store entrances and exits. It uses infrared sensors to detect pedestrians and control gate opening and closing automatically.

When shoppers walk toward the entrance, built-in infrared sensors detect the approaching person. The supermarket swing gate will automatically swing open to allow entry. After the pedestrian passes through the sensing area, the gate will close gently and stay locked to prevent reverse passing. This realizes one-way traffic management for supermarkets.
